NTA President Kraig Kaatz & Charlie Rath
Charlie Rath, President of the Alabama Trappers and Predator Control Association, was presented with the NTA Director of the Year Award at the 2011 National Trappers Association banquet in Columbia, Missouri. NTA President Kraig Kaatz presented Rath with the award and said,"In Recognition Of Outstanding Accomplishments As A Director. Over the years the NTA has had the privilege of meeting and working with many different representatives as assigned by our affiliates. We have had this individual step forward and undertake one of the most complex tasks we can ask a volunteer to do. It has been at least 5 years now that we have all learned the Rath of Charlie when it comes to our budget and the details. I remember if someone said the word Finances the room would empty, Charlie is like a rescue worker, he headed straight into the flames. Thank You Charlie Rath!"

At a time when other organizations have struggled to retain memberships, this group has expanded its NTA membership to exceed its regular state membership buy paying for JR memberships for those who attend youth trapping seminars. When the community was devastated with tornadoes, they helped the NTA distribute a pallet of sterile hand wipes. They consistently support our sweepstakes with contributions.
